Access for wheelchairs
The Firs bungalow has ramp access and a wheelchair accessible twin bedroom with shower and toilet.
There is a battery powered portable hoist.
Pendarren has one minibus that can take a wheelchair.
There is ramp access to the ground floor of the main house.
Whilst there are steps in the grounds much of it is accessible to wheelchairs.
Pendarren has two offroad wheelchairs which are taken out on the adventurous activities.
Catering
Whilst there is a set menu at Pendarren, clients are given options e.g. breakfast cereal, cooked breakfast and vegetarian evening meals. Given the diversity of students from Haringey the Pendarren staff are used to dealing with a variety of dietary requirements. To ensure these are met we do need to know what they are before you arrive!
